Ich hoffe, ihr habt mich mittlerweile nicht schon komplett vergessen. Lange herrschte Stille auf meinem Blog. Die erste Prüfungsphase an der Uni hatte mich voll und ganz eingenommen. Ich warte immer noch auf ein paar Ergebnisse, aber fürs Erste bin ich durch - YAY! Nun habe ich wieder Zeit mich meinem Blog zu widmen und OH MEIN GOTT, ich freue mich so! Zwischenzeitlich war zwar ein Post geplant, aber er hat sich immer weiter nach hinten verschoben, bis mir die Fotos nicht mehr aktuell genug waren und ja...ich den Post gar nicht hochgeladen habe.
I hope you haven't completely forgotten about me. My blog has been silent for quite a while. My first exams at uni happened and they took over my life. Although I am still waiting for some results, I am done with all of them for now - YAY! So, I've got my life back as well as time for my blog again and OH MY GOD, I am so excited! During the exam weeks, I did plan on posting something but I didn't do it for weeks and ended up not liking the pictures anymore and yeah...didn't post anything at all in the end.

Long story short: I am back and I'm gonna start this party with a good old book review!
Eines meiner Seminare im letzten Semester drehte sich um Schottland und nun habe ich eine neue Obsession! Bis vor Kurzem fand ich den Akzent noch absolut schrecklich und siehe da, jetzt bin ich sein größter Fan. Allgemein kann ich sagen, dass alle Seminare und Vorlesungen nicht nur super interessant waren, sondern auch meine Liebe zur englischen Sprache und zu Großbritannien weiter gestärkt haben. Da ich die Serie Reign liebe und nun auch Outlander schaue - und lese - ist es so cool, wenn man die historischen Ereignisse und Personen, um die es geht, in der Vorlesung hatte und beim Anschauen bzw. Lesen voll bescheid weiß. Klingt vermutlich etwas nerdy, aber das zeigt mir, dass ich das Richtige studiere.
Die Geschichte des heutigen Buchs spielt in Schottland. The Changeling's Journey wurde von Christine Spoors geschrieben, welche selbst aus Schottland kommt. Sie führt einen bookstagram, den ihr euch unbedingt anschauen müsst, und The Changeling's Journey ist ihr Debut-Roman. Da ich solche kleinen Leute gerne unterstütze und wie bereits erwähnt, von Schottland begeistert bin, musste ich das Buch haben. Wäre die Prüfungsphase nicht gewesen, hätte ich es sicher in wenigen Tagen verschlungen. Aber so hat es mich treu durch die Wochen voller Lernen begleitet und jeden Abend etwas Ablenkung geboten.
One of my seminars last semester was all about Scotland and I am now completely obsessed with the country! Not long ago, I absolutely hated the accent but that's history - I am its biggest fan now! Speaking of the last semester, all my lectures and seminars were not only super interesting, they also deepened my love for the English language and Great Britain. I love the show Reign and also started watching - and reading - Outlander and it's just so cool to learn all about the historical people and events at uni and to have this knowledge while reading or watching. Sounds a bit nerdy, I guess, but things like that show me that I am studying the right thing.
The story of todays book plays in Scotland. The Changeling's Journey was written by Christine Spoors who is from Scotland herself. She has a bookstagram you definitely need to check out and The Changeling's Journey is her debut novel. I really like to support people who make their dreams come true and as I already mentioned, I am fascinated by Scotland, so I had to have her book. I probably would have read it within a few days, if the exam weeks wouldn't have come between us. However, it gave me company during the weeks full of learning and was a nice distraction in the evenings.
